'Bhavna' is a luxury, UK based ethical label dedicated to creating luxury scarves and kaftans that are ethically produced, designed in England and hand-crafted in India. Bhavna Rishi, founder of Label 'Bhavna' has taken the label from strength to strength since her first prints collection was showcased during London Fashion Week in 2010. Since then the timeless grace and authenticity of her products has allowed wearers to ooze with sophistication and style. Her passion for designing colourful and exquisite pieces has been greatly inspired from her travels, drawing inspiration from various cultures and natural environment. With an eye for detail and a passion for the colours, her design philosophy is based on creating one of its kind luxurious pieces that are soft and sophisticated allowing effortless freedom and fluidity for the wearer. The label creates two collections each year spring-summer and autumn-winter for both scarves and kaftans. Each collection starts with planning the prints based on the season's theme as well as making the luxurious base fabric such as silk, wool and cashmere. Each style is carefully designed to add the detailed elegance to the fabric such as embroidery, beading, printing and smocking. The first samples are created in England. The production takes place in India and involves teaching communities and individuals, skills that preserve the community's rich textile history of dyeing, embroidery, beading, printing and smocking. But the label's work does not end here; Bhavna also supports three charities she is passionate about The Sacred Childhood Foundation and The Women Vikas Institute as well as Find Your Feet which recently showcased her garments for charity event celebrating 50 years of devoted work in India and Malawi. As its expansion continues, the label continues to strengthen her list of clientele and stockists in the UK and Europe through various trade shows.
